SAINT VALENTINE'S CONNECTION WITH DUBLIN

Dublin is the final resting place of Saint Valentine, the saint who has given his name to the most romantic day of the year. The relics of Saint Valentine rest in Whitefriar Street in Dublin, a Roman Catholic Carmelite Church in Dublin.

The relics of Saint Valentine, which were donated to the church in Dublin in the 19th century by Pope Gregory XVI from their previous location in the cemetery of St. Hippolytus in Rome.

For any romantics visiting Dublin, a night at the award winning Traditional show at the Merry Ploughboy will make for fantastic memories. As is often said, "love stories begin with the Merry Ploughboys".
