The Merry Ploughboy Pub will be celebrating Thanksgiving when our traditional dinner & show takes on a seasonal Thanksgiving twist.
Celebrated annually in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November, the holiday of Thanksgiving was first observed in 1621 and continues to be an American tradition today.
Thanksgiving means many things to different people but for most, the holiday of Thanksgiving is synonymous with a festive meal with friends and family and of course turkey!
The Thanksgiving dinner & show can now be booked online (and yes there will of course be Turkey and cranberry sauce).
Traditional TurkeyFilled with a cranberry sage and chestnut stuffing, rich roast gravy, garnished with chipolatas.
Fillet of Irish Sea Trout (served off the bone)Topped with a dill and lemon crust, with poached asparagus and a white wine & lemon butter sauce.
Shank of LambTender shank of Wicklow lamb, slow cooked in a rich lamb stock, with a red wine and rosemary jus.
Tender Irish Angus BeefBraised in Guinness and served with a root vegetable & rosemary jus.
DessertTraditional pumkin pie Served with a fresh cream and followed by fresh Bewley's tea or coffee
